Hey peoples, I'm trying to figure out how to default an automated attendant module (NOT the full voicemail) for the dx-80 (as in get the default messages and prompts back). I could have sworn there was a way to do it but I haven't messed with one of these for several years. Any ideas? Thanks.

Here's what I would do if I were you:
1. If you're sure you want to do this---get a manual and look at 3-19 to 3-24. There's more to fooling around with this thing than just "defaulting" the card. I looked at the 5 or so pages of instructions and didn't particularly want to mentally get into it. To do it from the phone may be a bit time consuming.
2. Get the correct copy of PCDBA so you can program and administer this card and the system.
Here's the tough part, though. In almost 20 yrs of working with this system, I know of no one who liked the AutoAttendant card. The only people that I know who have even bought these things, have been people who bought them on E-Bay----and found out that they just didn't work good.
Now, I may be out of line here, with my negative statements about the AA card---I've never really worked with one. However--with the negative statements that I've heard from other people (and I think, Comdial support)---I just didn't want to touch the things.
Good Luck.

I too have never touched the AA card, but I would recommend looking for a VMII card with compact flash, and installing that. You'll want to verify firmware of the DX80, but you'll get a lot more flexibility out of the full blown voicemail card than you ever will out of the AA card.

I have one! What a piece of under-engineered electronics! Played with it and ran it for a while but without voicemail it's really useless. Have it in a box ready for mailing if you want it back, Mark!

I'm pretty sure I sent it to Mark after being underwhelmed with its abilities. It was a dog from Day 1! That module probably has some serious frequent flyer miles.
