Hey, I'm trying something new and it's half working, I'm wondering if anyone can shed a little more light.
I have 4 users sharing one mailbox. We'll say it's MB 280. I set the MW indicator in the LVMU to light the 4 extensions, which is working properly. However, the RMV:MWL method doesn't seem to be working properly. Whichever phone you check the messages from, all 4 phones' MW lights stay lit. Any ideas?
I don't have it in front of me, but the method I'm using is something like @S(1,RMV:MWL 00160!/U) or something to that effect, where 160 is the extension number.
Any ideas?
Another note, these users do not use private mailboxes, so I'm not using any phantoms.

Don't you need a entry for each ext sharing the mailbox? The U at the end of your token string = the user ID number for the mailbox, so it will try and turn off msg light for ext 280 only. If there ext numbers aren't that it won't shut off any lights.

I usually take a working template, and change the U at the end to a V. The V is for a variable. You can specify the extension numbers in the variable field in the notification template.
Just be sure when modifying the template that you save as a new template and not over writting the working template that everyone else is using. Also change the name so you don't get configured. For SMDI there are several templates depending on # of digits in the extension number. The 0's before the user ID are place holders for the SMDI string.

Would this work using just one notification? For example, in the Variable field add all of the extensions, [111,112,113,114]. Or do you mean use the same method with 4 separate TURN OFF notifications, each with a different variable for the corresponding extension?

The variable is what is entered in the variable field, try substituting the U for the ext (111) in each.

Or do you mean use the same method with 4 separate TURN OFF notifications, each with a different variable for the corresponding extension? You would need 8 notifications, 4 to turn on the message lights and 4 to turn them off. To me, creating a bunch of new notification templates feels like sloppy programing. I would rather create 1 new template using the '%V" token instead of the '%U'. You would still need to have 4 different entries for on, then 4 more to turn off the MWI. In each notification line, use the new template and enter the extension number in the each variable field. You can not add all the extension numbers to one entry. Remember, don't replace the working template. It will mess up the message lights for everyone. Start with the working template, Com2-3D, and rename it so you can identify it easier. Don't replace or remove any 0's, just the %U.
