I have a client who finally decided to buy a new IPO. My quote was rejected in favor of one from our grey friends in the state known as MI. They are offering a bundled Essential all new with a used 400 PRI module all channels live. The difference in price is a lot. I am not comfortable with this. Are there any issues or drawbacks I can relate to them which may at least get them to go with a new 500 card? I buy as an affiliate of a ABP so the pricing is good but not grey market and this client is watching every dime.

Did all that. Also stated in writing for my services that I will not provide any warranty if they go GM. Hasn't worked yet.

Local support from a knowledgable vendor is very important ..... especially if you need it because your system is down.

We won't do installs on GM eq that the customer supplies. GM prices are very hard to beat. As a BP there prices are usually less then we get it for.

It begs the question how they can do it at all. Where do GMs get their pricing?

Tell then that the feature set of the IP 500 will NOT be realized with an IP400 T1 card.
IP400 T1 card is NOT compatible with the new mobility feature-set. You will not be able to use call control at all.

I think you nailed it Mongo. The mobility features are exactly what they like about the IPO. That might just do it.
