Howdy,

I have a customer that sent me a video (I could forward it to you if you like) of their phone going BLEEP and the screen blinks, the phone goes BLEEP and the screen blinks.

The name, date and time are on the display and there's no other lights or buttons lit.

There are no errors in the alarm history. 7200-S on v4.63 and networked via SPNet to another 7200-S.

Had similar problem but message button would blink really fast and you would hear a quick "bleep" from the phone.
Basically we had to enable MP debugging (samsung has to give you codes that are only good for that hour so get codes for the rest of the day if you do it) and then those logs were sent to korea and they found anomalies on one of the T-1's we were using for Qsig over PRI that just happened to be running near a florescent light. Installed shielded cable problem gone and that was 3 years ago.

Not sure if this helps but i also had a 7100 installed near a large transformer and whenever you rebooted the phone system, the phones that ran off the DLM on the MP10 would play the systems "Mario Music" (internal MOH) until the system fully booted. Tried multiple processors/cabinets still happens.

The worst one i had was system plugged into an outlet on the same circuit (other side of the room though) as a paper shredder, whenever they shredded paper, all CO lines would disconnect until they were done. Took way too long to figure this one out.

My point is, problems like you're describing are 99% of the time environmental, if it is only 1 user start turning off stuff at their desk to see if it stops. If its more than one person look at stuff around the cabinet.

Customer says, "This is happening to all phones in the office. It usually happens 4 to 5 times a day, where all the phones ring and blink like that."

New facility, super clean switch room.

Looks like it might have been caused by GCI (Alaskan Phone Company) using a soft-switch. The customer noticed that it would blink and blip for 20 to 30 seconds, then a real call would ring in. We had GCI move them to a real switch, a 5ESS and the problem so far has not surfaced again.
