Emanager is enough to drive anyone batty. Turns out it can't run on Windows 8 either (probably due to SQL & IIS). I'm trying to get it running on a virtual Hyper-V instance of Windows XP...
Even on our XP laptops though it seems every other time we go to use it (once a month or so) it's broken again and needs to be re-installed.
We're considering dropping Toshiba service completely from our repertoire - way too much overhead.

I run it as a virtual Windows 7 machine on Hyper-V, the only issues I usually have are when there are IE updates.

I run NetEmanager (and other related Toshiba programs) on a Windows XP set up on VMWare Player... it's free.
And if a VMware partition developes a problem, I just delete it and reload it from my backup.

Please be advised that the recent Microsoft® security update (patch# KB2846071, released July 9, 2013) has a conflict with Toshiba's Network eManager. The recent Microsoft security update is preventing the user from logging into Toshiba's Strata® CIX systems.
You need to remove the update and reboot the PC. After the reboot change your Windows update settings so that you are notified instead of automatically installing the updates and you can select to hide the KB2846071 update and it will not be installed on the next windows update.
Regards Carl
