We have a customer with a TOL Version 6 that has been using the forward-to-email feature (not the true UC feature). They were using the static IP address of their Exchange server for the forwarding address but recently switched to an outside source. Where do we enter the SMTP outgoing server information?
Most of our customers have the Carolina Digital family of voice mail systems and this is the only TOL we've installed.

Thanks in advance for any help.

There's a section in the Admin console under Configuration marked VPIM/SMTP. Check there to change your SMTP server info.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

Please note that the ESNA does not offer authentication in SMTP forwarding. You'll have to work out whitelisting or some other route with your service provider if they require it.

I was at the site today.

In the TOL Admin application, the Configuration > SMTP page was blank and the VPIM Client was grayed out for SMTP settings.

We no longer have a certified ESNA tech, so I can see this is going to get interesting. In the meantime, their IT Manager is going to try a work-around on their side until we can get this fixed.

Check your sentinel to see if you are licensed for SMTP/VPIM. If this is an upgrade from an earlier version, SMTP is not always included without purchasing the license. And yes... it could get fun. smile
