Any one tried to connect intertel 8862 phones using Charter Communications as the ISP? Connecting with a linksys WRT55AG. The phone boots and connects to the switch fine. Users can't hear me talking on the phone, but I can hear them, or vise versa. I've opened all of the ports that have been mentioned on this forum and put the phone on the DMZ with no success. I can get the same phone and router working fine using DSL.

I've done this several times with COX, but never charter as they dont' have service in my area.
That problem, one way audio, is usually when a the IPRC is behind a firewall. Since you said you have it on a DMZ that shouldn't be an issue as that is how I have my external IPRC configured too. I would suggest try setting your IP Phone up for DHCP and plug it directly into the cable modem. If it works then its your router on your end, If that doesn't work then it's gotta be something on Charter's end. I've never heard of ISPs blocking ports for VOIP but it may be worth a call to them just to make sure.
Good Luck, Andy
