I have a random problem that sometimes extensions indicate they have a message, but when they access the voicemail system it tells them that they have no messages. The only way I have found to turn off the message indicator is to send a message to that extension and then delete this message. Any ideas what can cause this problem?

Turning message lights on and off is the lowest priority action a voice mail system has. Sometimes all the ports are busy and no port is available to turn a light off- like first thing in the morning when EVERYONE is checking mail, or at times a user hangs up before listening to all messages. You can clear a message light the way you have in the past, which is really the best way since it synchronizes everything, or you can leave the handset in the cradle, press FEAT, #, 8 and the MSG button to turn the light off. If it continues to happen with the same mailbox, there may be a problem with that mailbox.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.
