Hey all! We will soon be installing a new TDE-600 for a city hall complex which includes the fire department. The fire department wants us to setup the following application and I am not sure how/if it can be done. Any help would be appreciated.
Here is what they want..
First, an incoming call to an ICD group (specifically in this case group 214) needs to ring all telephones in the fire department and the overhead paging system. The phones need to have a unique ringer when a call comes into the group. This first part should not be an issue at all.
Second, when the call is answered at any one of the phones in the fire department, the conversation that takes place between the phone that answered the call and the caller needs to be broadcast across the paging system. This is in order that all fire department employees can hear the conversation and know what is going on.
One additional note...they did say they would be okay with another option…once the call is answered instead of the conversation being broadcast through the overhead speakers it could be broadcast through the speakerphone of ALL the system telephones. If this is an easier way for us to do it they said they would be okay with that.
Please let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions. Or is their a third-party device that could do this?

If it's just one line then a cheap off-hook record device would work. Just put the audio output in to paging system instead of recorder.

Thanks for the idea. I would agree that the cheap off-hook record device would work but the calls don't all come in on one CO line. The call may come in on one of 9 analog CO lines as well as potentially one of the DID numbers on the PRI.
Would there be a way to do it using an unused analog CO line port? I am just throwing ideas out there.

Have a One Touch Button that would have command to PickUp the group, then conf in an SLT connected to a TAM connected to Page. Might need 2 buttons.
Does the call need to be recorded also.
Check with Panasonic third party providers, ask yor rep. They have a large amount of specialty stuff.

How many phones in the group? You could have a amp with multi inputs. Connect the speaker from each phone to a input. When a call comes in it will sound over the pa and who ever answers the call can press speaker while the handset is up and it will put the audio over the pa as well
