I recently visited a site which has an Axxess v8.224. They are using 2 trunks in one trunk group for part of their business. (They have several other trunks, which we are not concerned with in this scenario.) Calls come in to trunk 1 and are forwarded out to a cell phone. The system selects trunk 2 for the outgoing call. The call is completed to the cell phone with the use of both trunk 1 (incoming) and trunk 2 (outgoing). The conversation is finished and the callers hang up. The problem is that the system doesn't disconnect from the calls. Both trunks stay busy until the system gets reset. To add to the confusion, this only happens on about 1 out of every 50 calls. The caller and the called party's cell phone is not affected. The problem is completely internal in the system. Has anyone ever encountered a problem like this. Your help is appreciated.

What happens when you manually select trunk 2 for an outbound call and then hang up? Does it release? Consistantly? 50 out of 50?

Try adjusting the LS/GS CO-CO DISCONNECT timer. It defaults to 35 hundredths. I would cut it in half and retest. This would probably be too low to leave it at but you could then adjust it up in small increments until you have the trouble again, then back it down a few hundredths.

I manually selected the trunk a total of 50 times and every time it released without incident. I then adjusted the CO-CO Disconnect timer to 22 hundredths and retested. Everything seems to be working properly. As it stands right now, it may be a while before they have the issue again anyway. Due to their being a golf course in the heart of the great northwoods where snow and cold weather are a particularly normal occurance, it will be April or so before they start forwarding their calls again. They assured me they would let me know if there are strange issues between now and then. Thanks for the ideas.
