Hello All, I have a customer with an ASPIRE S, soft ver 7 and a 4 port 8 hour InMail.
The InMail is recording 99 busy tone messages to mail box 301 and Line keys 2-4 (TRKS 2-4) are also busy out. This happens after hours and on the weekends. They returned today after a long weekend and MB301 is full of busy tone calls.
We've recently replace the InMail flash card.

Comcast should be sending a disconnect signal when the caller hangs up, some carriers call this supervised disconnect or disconnect supervision, there is a good chance when you or the customer calls this in on a trouble ticket the person at Comcast will say what the hell are you talking about.
You can monitor the line with your butt set, when the call is terminated you should hear clicking.
Voice mail needs this signal to end the call.

do you have trunk disconnect supervision turned on?
Also for time out I would recommend a hang up in this case.

sounds like you are being hacked. Toll fraud etc.
99 messages on nights and weekends with just nothing, someone is trying to dial out using the phone system to make overseas calls etc

16-01 for group 8 was set for "hears busy" on 16-01-03 routing when busy. And 16-01-04 hunting mode was set at stop at last member instead of circular
Talked to the customer this late afternoon and she has confirmed that so far...no strange vms or locked lines.
Would everyone agree this was the correct way to go?

I just got a call from a church today that has an SV8100 with POTS lines, same issue.
Calls come in on line 3 & wind up in general mailbox. Between 1:45am and 3am they get 99 messages of busy tone. No caller ID.
What can you do?
My only thought is to set dial 0 to go to general mailbox and "timeout" to go to hang up.

POTS lines? Sometimes 14-02-23 will help in the SV8100.

Had a similar issue with a DSX160. Did the same thing as doghart. set T/O to hang up.
