First off, SSPhone has been an expert in all things Telrad and SIP, so I can't thank him enough for all the help he has given me to get this going.

I have a few sip trunks that I have assigned to a trunk group 55.

I have an extension on the other end of the sip trunk that is 22, so when I want to dial that extension from the telrad system, I pickup my telrad phone and dial 5522.

That works great, but there are few usability issues with people not knowing what is going on.

1. When I dial 55, I get a dialtone,
2. then I dial 22, and have to wait 5 or so seconds for the call to go through.
Id like to set my dial plan that it will send the call over as soon as I hit the two digit code.

Another approach I'd like to do is have a DID ring (forward) to this new extension on the other side of the sip trunk. Similar to when someone calls my phone number, I have it set up to go to extension 44 for auto attendant system. When someone calls from the outside on a specific DID, I'd like it to go to 5522 to ring that set.

I see dialplan in the LCR part of the system, and I dial 9 for that system but that is only set up for our exteral 12 channel pri.

Am I out of my mind?

Thanks

Assign your station in your network prefixes. In there you can point it to the correct trunk group.

Thanks! that created the ability to call it like an extension "5555" that I can dial now from the telrad phones and a system speed dial. It still pauses 5 seconds or so before I see it "go out" over the ip trunk to my new box. It still seems like it is expecting more digits. If I dial 5555555, then the call is instantly passed to the ip trunk.

I have 4 channels assigned to my voip gateway in telrad (4 in the TVSE config) These are assigned a TIE/DID trunk group, and I copied the settings from my PRI TIE/DID trunk group setup, so it might be in there somewhere that I'm having trouble.
