I have a 200EL with LW19 in a hotel. A room phone lamp will not go out. I've had the staff call the voicemail, call the console and change the phone. I deleted the phone and then added it back. the lamp is still lit.
Could it be bad port? Anything else we can try?

Someone turned that lamp on. Find the code for calling senders and dial it from the phone. The message button on the phone may be programmed with it already, though I've seen some installers program the vmail hunt group code there.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Call and leave a new message on the extension, then retrieve it. Light should go out.

Tony Sprout has it right.
This feature, lighting a message lamp from another phone, is a hold-over from the pre-voicemail days. It needs to be found and eradicated. Once you have found it, turn off the COS setting that permits it.
