Hopefully this is an easy one. Does anyone know how to set up an external modem on an Inter-Tel 5000 system? I have the Modem Kit Installation and Troubleshooting guide. I have the USR modem, modem to serial cable, and serial to usb cable. I've programmed the modem with the instructions in the manual for the 5000 system. My question is how to get the usb to serial adapter to work with the system? I've tried 3 different adapters and none of them seem to work. Is there a way to load software onto the 5000 system (drivers, etc.)?

The external modem kit is for the Axxess system, not the 5000. Each 5000 has an internal modem for remote programming and diagnostics.
