I know I got your hopes up. .... sorry. ..

Samsung US is meeting in a week or so to plan and strategize their year.

NOW is the TIME to harrass your rep about getting a new design on the digital phone!

Samsung people tell me to start harrassing them and make some noise, yo.

Personally, I'd love to see an SMT 5220 with those extra buttons, a backlit LCD and a software controlled full duplex speaker phone.

Call and email your rep amd make some noise NOW

Our 5220's have had a backlit lcd for a year or 2.

We were told at our last dealer conference that there won't be any new digital keysets.

Is all about ip now (we-voip, new smt keysets, wireless controllers and access points (the r2000's are eol now)).

Plus the scm only supports smt/sip/slt keysets.

The US has a very large infrustructure and still sells digital phones by a large majority.

Call or email your rep now and make some noise if you want a new digital phone.

Who's game?

If you want a new digital phone, bombard your rep now.

I did soooo many vendors have self labeling keys now for digital sets. I showed the digital sets to a potential client, the response "have the '80's restarted?" They went with a different system that starts with a "T".

I agree. I have a customer who wants a new system. The have the28 and 18 button phones. I have to go in with the 5000 series. Im getting blown away. If Samsung is so advance with cell phones, why are they so "late" with business phone. It seems like we are always catching up with everyone else.

And this is after selling their product for at least 20 years

They've just announced a new one in the UK, the 7 button looks like the old one, except the top half where the screen is, is black, not silver.

That's not new, it's just a change of packaging. We've had them for a year or 2.

I know for the US they have pretty much made it official there will not be a new digital phone. Seems like they are about to make a big push with an updated WeVoip, which goes along with the enterprise wireless solutions. 4.8 is set to be released here in the US very soon which supposedly will come with the wevoip iPhone app and the new WIFI Desktop IP phone. Here's a picture i got of the Wifi Phone i think nameless probably already has them already. It's supposed to support android apps along with NFC support for the galaxy phones plus the touch screen aom looks pretty sweet.

I wish we had the wireless enterprise and this phone.

We are supposed to get the wireless early this year, but I suspect it will be delayed.

I have an updated wevoip android client along with 4.74 sw, would like the iphone version as a lot of my customers have iphones/ipads.

There was some mention of a dock for the tab much like the shoretel one.
