Have a STSe with POTS trunking. They are being pushed by Frontier to put in a PRI. We did one of these several yrs. ago and I have slept since then and there is virtually no Vertical support anymore. I have a T1IB with one DTRU4 but may need to get a PLLU, which I have sourced if I can't find ours.
I would like suggestions on best config. they are not going w/DID. Is loop start ok and what framing? Thank you Gary

First off the T-1 card has to be a combo card to use a PRI. Secondly, the PRI uses did. I think that will be a lot easier than configuring for loop start...Frontier wants the STS to work as a channel bank. It really works better as a did router with Tie-ani trunks or tie-dnis. I can't imagine that using one bank of did numbers is going to make all that much difference cost wise. The PRI has to be NI-2,FAS,ANI should be provided, clocking from the network.

Thank you Derrick. Had meeting yesterday afternoon with Frontier and customer. They decided to tank the idea, customer only has 12 lines and doesn't expect any growth in the next 2 yrs. I breathed a sigh of relief, they are somewhat rural and being fed by a MUX. I don't need another headache.
Now would like to sell my T1IB and DTRU4

Don't hold your breath. About all they are good for now is for immediate replacement parts since everyone is going PRI. Quite frankly, I can't remember ever having more than one failure ever.
