Have a 22-btn phone with a messed up display. Does anyone know of a good repair service for the NEC line? (Like Aztec for Vodavi) Thanks

NEC has a repair facility.
The Screens have been discontinued by the OEM manufacturer. The only way for a repairer to get one now is to take one out of another phone. They used to be available as a repair item.
Unless the refurber has some broken phones with good screens to take them from, you may be hard pressed to get it repaired.

Have the dealer contact NEC, they might be able to have it repaired with the only cost of shipping the phone to them, even if its out of warranty.
The reason, the displays were going bad prematurely, it was traced back to the display's manufacture faulty parts.
NEC is a company that stands for high quality and because of this they were replacing phones out of warranty.
Its been almost 2 years since any customer has called with a complaint of a bad display so I can't be sure if they are still replacing them.

The following announcement was made on October 24, 2013. An email was sent to all registered dealers. Change to DSX Display Repair Process On November, 15, 2013, NEC Corporation of America (NEC) will discontinue the advance replacement program for DSX 22/34-Button Telephones that have issues with the display units. After that date, NEC will continue to repair DSX telephones that have the display issue, and pricing will be based on the telephone’s 24-month hardware warranty. If you have any questions, please contact NEC Customer Service at 800-752-6275, dial option1 or [email protected].
