We have a very old toshiba phone system. A person whose extension is 247, all of a sudden on that phone it started showing SENT 344F. 344 is an extension where a phone is NOT connected. Does anyone know what this "sent 344F" means and how to get rid of it.
(I think we have the Toshiba Strata DK 424" and our desk phones are either toshiba DKT2010-SD, or RPCI-DI")
Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for your detailed instructions. But that did not help. At extension 247, I pressed either SPKR or even Intercom button (the lowest in the 10 buttons) and then #64 344 and speaker. Nothing happened. It still kept showing SENT 344F.
As I had stated that no phone was plugged into 344. So I plugged in a toshiba phone. Extension then became alive and I saw the MSG light.
When I hit the MSG light on 344, it called back 247. and after the conversation when 247 hung up, the "sent 344F" message went away.
So it seems that 247 had accidently set a automatic call back for 344 when there was nothing plugged into 344.
Again your instructions did not help. Page 60 shows this:
"To cancel a message light set on another station ➤ Press [DN] and dial & plus the [PDN] or [PhDN] that has the message light set."
But that did not work.
Anyways since the problem is resolved, I am happy. Just documenting everything so that in future if people come to this site, they will have my case as a reference.
Thanks KENB!

If you had a phone plugged into 344, then the code #64 would have worked. Btw, there is a way in system programming to disallow stations from setting the message light on another station.

3 ways to clear that, 1. at ext. 247 press the msg key and have 344 pick up, 2. Go to 247 and press intercom #409, or 3. at ext.344 press intercom dial 247 then press the msg button twice. You can disable sta to sta messaging in program.
