hi, i've got a user request to set up an external call forwarder and i followed several different instructions to no avail. my remote test # is long distance, but i get the same results trying another local number too. system is a CIX300 with DKT3014 phones and PRI. programming a key (#9876) to 340/350/360/370 and entering the number like 9-123-4567 9-123-4567-7890 9-1-123-456-7890 always results in a "we are unable to complete your call at this time" when i dial in to test the forwarder. pressing spkr, #6011, 9, then the number, then # and either leaving the phone off hook or pressing spkr afterwards. leaving it off hook rings on the initiating end, then goes to "we are unable to complete your call at this time". the call forward screen then disappears from the phone. pressing spkr afterwards seems to do nothing at all and just rings as normal. methods tried are at https://science.opposingviews.com/toshiba-call-forward-instructions-8579.html, https://www.cti-stl.com/support/frequently-asked-questions/toshiba, https://www.compuphoneinc.com/faqs.htmtried contacting our local vendor a few times about this and he said it was simple to do, but for whatever reason won't provide the answer. hence my posting here :-) thanks, -matt

You are putting in the 1 + area code, right? eg. #6011 1 + area code + 5551212 + #.

hi phonemeister, yes i've tried with and without area code, without the 1, ... for just about every feature code i've found related to call forwarding. tried forwarding to both local and long distance numbers. always comes back "we are unable to complete your call at this time" in a male voice after a few rings. thanks, -matt

hi, would like to note that an *internal* call forward, to another extension here, does work from an external call. i dialed in my extension from my cell phone, and it successfully transferred over to another line in the office (using #6011 + ext + # + hangup) -matt

Do you have centrex dial 9 service? If you access a trunk directly, do you still have to dial a 9?

hey, we have to dial 9 for all external numbers except on our fax machines which go through the CIX but use analog lines instead of digital. i tried doing the #6011 without the 9 and got a busy tone immediately after pressing "2" (the first digit of the number i was going to try). thanks, -matt

thanks all, it turns out the issue was in the COS configuration. #26 was not checked in System->Class of Service, and apparently 26, 30 and 31 are required for the call forward functionality.
