Hi,

IT guy at a small, private school looking for the programming steps to create an A-A that will answer phone lines, provide menu to transfer caller to Office extensions, announcements or leave a message in a teacher's voice mailbox.

In the Tech and Admin manuals there is no real examples of how any AA should be done. I have checked the SVMi-4 with HyperTerm for any programming, there is none found.

I suspect the installing firm's techs had factory training, but those docs were never published online.

Does anyone have this info that they can share?

I am also working on a SVMI-4E and I need to have the operator group overflow from 500 to 529 and play the day greeting and it just plays a internal message. I think you have to do to some programming to group 500 for it to work properly

Next time you may want to start a new thread instead of bringing a 3 year old one back to life.

Your problem is that when it overflows to 529 it is seeing a mailbox for 500 and plays the greeting for the 500 mailbox.You need to delete the 500 mailbox or have the system ring a different group like 501 and overflow that to 529 and make sure there is no mailbox for 501.

The rule of thumb is if the call overflows and there is a mailbox for whatever is overflowing,the caller will end up in that mailbox for whatever overflows.If there is nothing defined for what overflows then the day or night greeting will play.

Ok thanks ...what control do you use to delete the mailbox ?
