Hello, I have a customer who would like to know is there any way to disable a all call page to their phone while the page is happening and then go back to normal when the page is done. on their old system, when a page was happening, they simply had to lift the receiver and hang it back up immediately and the page would stop. the only solution i came up with is leaving the receiver off the cradle for the duration of the page. the only problem is, sometimes the pages are very long winded and the customer doesn't want their phone off hook that long.Any suggestions? Thank You

Are they just not wanting to be part of the all call page? You can set who is in what page groups and who can receive all call pages.

They still want to be part of the page group. It's just some pages don't pertain to them and sometimes the announcements over their page are over a minute. They just want to "kill" that page at that time.

Sounds to me like maybe they should have different page groups.
So, are you saying that if they are receiving a long page and they pickup their handset and replace it they will still get the rest of the page? Hmm. I never thought about that.

Yeah Powder1st, during a page if you pick up the handset and hang it up, the page is still going. brokeda, same thing with your method also. I have an SV8100 in my office, and I just tried everything i could think of. No matter what, that page is still there. Matter a fact, if you don't put a timer on the length of page, it could sit there forever if you don't hang up on the paging side!

What is the application here?
Actually you should be happy there is a timer some systems don;t have them and require personal responsibility to hang up the phone on a page.

Just tried DND button, it almost seemed like it was going to work. While a page was coming through, I pressed DND. The page stopped for a few seconds until the button turned red, then the page was still there. I do appreciate everybody's input, I'm just gonna chalk this up to a unique customer request and let them know I can program their phone to receive pages or not, but they cant kill a page while its happening unless they keep the receiver off hook. Thanks Y'all
