Hello

Programmed a mobile extension on system however when the extension number is dialled there is an 8-10s delay before the calling party hears a ringing tone, I was hoping to include the extension as an option in the AA, however this delay would make that impossible, is there any way to reduce this time??

Thanks

Allan

Using PRI?
Made for PRI. Put a # at the end of number, takes 5 seconds off call setup.

Hello

Thanks for the replies, however unfortunately they are not PRI lines they are analogue trunks. I will have a look into the ARS settings and would appreciate any further input.

Thanks

NEC states in Manual and Tech bulletins, PRI or SIP only for Mobil Extensions.

Hello

Thanks for your assistance however the only thing I have read is with regards to incoming calls being pointed at the mobile extension they are supposed to work OK when being dialled. Would setting up a virtual extension and diverting it to the mobile extension number get over the problem of the caller not hearing ringing tone. I appreciate that the delay will not be reduced.

Once again thanks for your input

Allan
