I have recently changed voicemail platforms from a stand-alone NT based voicemail to an EVMC OS2 ver. 6.0. (Hard-disk failed on the NT). Now when a caller calls into a box the system responds with a "this mail box is full" message. I have deleted boxes and re-configured, but the problem still persist randomly system wide. The hard-drive still has ample storage space for additional messages. Any solutions would be appreciated.............al.

did you attempt to copy any of the old messages from the old HDD to the EVMC HDD? It sounds like you probably have DB corruption possibly. I would do the following if you did not copy the DB folder to the new EVMC - Delete the entire contents of the avdap\DB directory on the EVMC - Verify that you have installed the correct version of AVDAP on the EVMC - Reconnect the EVMC and see if it works, if it doesnt I would blow away all of your CRAs and MBs and rebuild them after you have blown away the avdap\db folder on the EVMC

Hey Chris, Thanks for the response. The EVMC is OS2 based and I don't know many of the commands, so I had to delete files in each directory to delete it. Is there some way in OS2 to wipe out the entire DB directory without going through each directory deleting files? I tried this and it was some files that OS2 wouldn't let me delete, so I couldn't get rid of the entire DB.

I think you have to delete each sub directory individually within it then blow away the db dir. It has been a long time since I have worked on OS/2. Anytime I work with an EVMC I pull the HDD and hook ip up to a USB IDE HDD reader and browse/delete with my laptop.

You may also try and inrease the capacity of the mailboxes. Goto voice processor/devices/mailboxes/to the first MB/message limits/increase the maximun mailbox message capacity/then copy this to all your MB's.

I've looked at the capacity and each box has (default) 30 minutes. But at random a box will have one new message and any attempt to leave a second message the system will respond with "this box is full".

You might try a defrag and scan disk on your EVMC. You'll need a floppy drive and DOS 6.22 disks

Thanks, I didn't run scandisk or defrag yet, and I do have a floppy connected. I did however rebuild the software on both the EVMC/PBX. I noticed that the "OK to REMOVE" light is flashing the "ON LINE" is steady.????????????

I don't recall seeing what size system you are using in conjuction with this voice mail. It sounds like you are using the wrong license chip with the wrong CPU size. If you are using anything larger than a CPU64, you must use the 100 user chip on the EVMC card. Otherwise, you will have a voice mail that "sort of" works, but the blinking light is a dead giveaway that the license is probably wrong.

You are right! The processor is a 256 6.0. Is there anyone with a PAL chipset with 100+ subscriber MB's? Thanks for your help.........al
