not having a system available in my shop, I just want to know what do I dial to record the instruction and routing boxes prompts? My customer wants just a simple voice mail. (No answer, goes to VM, leave a message) I'm not sure that this system
will do anything so simple!!? Help is muchly appreciated.

47-11 Change Default Mailbox Type to Station Mailbox if calls should go to personal mailbox instead of routing mailbox. Change Default Mailbox to correspond to mailbox you want to answer calls.

You can DIL the trunks to operators extension, confirm there is a mailbox setup for that extension.

pfonman, below is what we send out for voicemail admin. It should help with what to dial.

CREATE AUTO ATTENDANT GREETINGS:

 Press VMsg button in your display.
 Press SA (72) for System Administration
 Press the Inst key in your display
 Choose the Greeting box number you wish to change:
001 – for day
002 – for night
003 – for alternate (Holiday)
 Select Rec (Record) in the display. Once you have recorded your greeting press the DONE button in your display
 Make that new Greeting active by listening to the prompts

TO ACTIVATE THE HOLIDAY GREETING:

 Log into a mailbox with system admin rights
 Dial 72 – System Administrator
 Press 6 to set override mode
 Enter the group (table) number – always will be 01
 Press the ‘On’ softkey
 Press the ‘MBOX’ softkey
 Enter 003
 Hangup

TO TURN OFF THE HOLIDAY GREETING:

 Log into a mailbox with system admin rights
 Dial 72 – System Administrator
 Press 6 to set override mode
 Enter the group (table) number – always will be 01
 Press the ‘Off’ softkey
 Hangup

TO DELETE A SECURITY CODE:

 From an Admin phone dial into mailbox
 Enter 72 for System Administrator functions
 Dial 7 and enter the mailbox you need to change
 Dial 7 to delete the security code
 Hangup

TO SET UP YOUR MAILBOX FROM YOUR PHONE:

 With the handset left down in the cradle, press the VMsg key in your display.
 To record a greeting, press 4 or press the GREET button on your display. Select the greeting number (Typically Greeting 1) then select Rec (Record) in the display. Once you have recorded your greeting press the DONE button in your display followed by ##.
 To record your name, press 76 then record your name. Once you have recorded your name press the DONE button in your display followed by ##.
 To set a password, press 67 then 7. Enter your password. The voicemail will repeat the access code you entered for verification. Press the OK button and hang up.
* Setting a password is highly recommended to avoid unauthorized access and use.
