13 & 16 are correct. The [Normal/Service] switch is supposed to allow a hot swap but I never do it. Besides, if you swap board types you need to do a power down system reset anyway.
BTW, Anytime I do a power down I like to have a current database backup. The few minutes spend waiting for the data to download is time well spent compared to reprogramming the whole system if the memory support battery is dead.

Just went through that with this customer, had to field replace the battery, it was so dead we could not re-intialize and reprogram, have the new data base. Yup no hot swap, have to take my chances on a shut down and power up and hope that it all comes back. Thanks for the info.

You can hot swap cards that Id the same but the system is still going to reset. You can hot swap cards that have different ids but you will need to reprogram the slot and reset the system again. So if the system is running make a back-up before you do anything else.

soft reset, the reset button versus a power down. If anyone is up early, in flash 24, how do you move from Cabinet 0 to Cabinet 1 and 2? I forget this stuff. Thanks
