We have a CIX200/MAS-2U running Stratagy and ACD. For some reason it was just going "beep beep beep" then ringed continuously when I tried to access voicemail. LCD on phone says Camp-on.
When calling in our main 1-800 number, the menu isn't coming up and it is just ringing and ringing.
Queues work fine though when an ACD agent is available it rings them and works.
I tried restarting voice assistant; we have 1 port and it showed IDLE. Restarting voice assistant didn't fix things.
Restarting the MAS (rebooting the os and restarting all services) did seem to fix things.
Does it sound like Stratagy just crapped itself and needed to be restarted?

Sounds like the voicemail ports were in use or locked up.
Restarting the MAS, dumped the channels, and freed them up.

This happens sometimes. The cause could be lots of things like an IP conflict or the Tuesday scheduled maintenance wasn't able to restart Stratagy. When this happens, I just reboot the MAS and all is good after that.

Thanks for the responses.
I've already disabled the weekly reboot for just that reason - but I did restart it last night for a lone Windows Update. Tested VM afterwards and it seemed okay.
Is there a way to check on the status of the voicemail ports (eManager?) and to see what might be tying them up? I'm not sure how many we have but I do know we only have one VA port.

Ah so I see the 4 VM Ports we have listed in Stratagy ES - VM System - VM Voice Ports.
I noticed in ACD that there were 4 calls and they seemed to be going to them (60, 61, 62, 63).
It did seem like they were kind of "stuck" though. The calls didn't appear to be queued up, just sitting there. 4 people leaving voicemails at the same time - possible. But several minute long voicemails?

It's possible to have all the vm ports in use. If your call volume is heavy then that's a possiblity. Keep monitoring the vm ports and see if they ever go to idle.

Ah okay, I see it at Stratagy ES - Tools - VM Port Status. Not 100% sure that what I saw in ACD was ports 60-63; it might have been 64+ in the "Monitor ID" column.
