Anyone successfully configured the CS-5200 to work with Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging?

I would like to utilize the integrated UM features of my Exchange 2007 server. I know Exchange links back to the phone system using SIP. I'm just a little puzzeled as to why all of the examples and documentation (very little and hard to find)all reference an AudioCodes gateway between the Phone System and the Exchange Server?

Everything should be installed by Monday, so I haven't had a lot of play time with this system. I've got a Inter-Tel SIP server, UM server, and a CS-5200. Anyone had any experience with this wanna share?

The only support that the Intertel 5000 and or Axxess in regards to SIP trunks is via a SIP gateway such as the AudioCodes or Quintum gateways. I do not see how you are going to make this work if you plan to use the Exchange UM functions and try to link it to the 5000 via SIP. The SIP server acts as a proxy between SIP devices and the 5000/Axxess. If you want UM with the 5000 you would need to use EM with the IMAP UM solution.

Are you using live communications server as well? What pieces of the Exchange UM are you wanting to use? Are you just wanting the Exchange server to be able to dial out of the system and have users dial into the IVR piece of exchange. Unfortunately Inter-tel does not have an inherent integration to Exchange 07 but there may be a couple of work arounds. Also Mitel has a nice integration with the Microsoft presence applications so that should become available for you in the near future.

Everyone;

I've got it working - some what. Exchange 07 UM is up, but need to integrate Office 2007 Communication Server.

I had to use the Audiocodes Mediant 1000 with a T1 CAS interface to the CS-5200.

Configuring the tel-ip tranlations in the Audiocodes was a real pain - still not sure if I got it right.
