If I program a multiline set for no auto line seizure, so that intercom is selected when going off-hook, then I dial 9 for an outside line, I get nothing. I found I have to dial another 9, and then it selects a line according to my route table.

Why is the second 9 required? I must have something wrong.

Thanks.
Jim

By default, it shouldn't be requiring a second 9 for line access - it does typically wait for you to begin entering the digits of the phone number before actually seizing a line, but the initial 9 lets the system know you are about to make an outbound call.

Jim, you are correct. You do have to dial 9 twice. The system is set to monitoring 911. This comes this way by default.

To change this feature go to program 21-01-12. Now you may be able to dial 9 and hit trunk group of outside line.

After you change this you will then need to dial 9911 to access 911.

I found your answer by searching NTAC Site.I had same problem as you. I prefer dial 9 access on system.

Another got ya feature of the SL1100 and does seem confusing.

Thanks, that makes sense. I'll change that program tomorrow.

BTW, I got a short stutter dial tone with the second 9. I guess that was trying to tell me something.
