Apparently I will be moving a system due to lava. That will definitely be a war story for the bar. ~ Mike

The school is not in imminent danger but they are protecting their things by moving. Civil authorities won't let you get to the area where the lava is since there are homes in the area and the ability to evacuate is priority. It is also out of respect to property owners that people that live here won't go to gawk. I have witnessed first hand a house being consumed and it is not a good thing to see. Lava moves really slow usually. It is almost like the steam roller scene from "Austin Powers". You would literally have to just stand there. Pahoa is about 30 minutes from where I live so if it gets to a point where we can see it I will definitely put some pictures. It is something to see. On a man vs. nature note, the county tried lava proofing some wooden poles and they were holding at first but one of the poles shows signs of succumbing per a recent report. ~ Mike
