Recently installed a Samsung OS7200 Dual Cabinet running 4.80 and all the other new software from Samsung. When you make a Digital Phone to Digital Phone Intercom Call the Quality is Very Poor. I have eliminated cabling as the culprit. I have Adjusted Gain with no Help!!! Any Ideas would be Greatly Appreciated.

What is your bandwidth?

Yeah Sorry its not a crisp clean audio connection its a little noisy and muffled. The audio just doesnt sound like it should on a new phone system. I dont think the bandwidth is an issue. I am going out to site today to default system and test and then maybe swap an MP20 to see if it is an Hardware issue. Any Help or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for the help.

Okay Update After swapping MP 20 processors with different software versions the problem is still persists. Its when an Extension and another extension are talking the audio is like the Audio is too rich kind of sounds like a Drive Thru Speaker not to that extent. Customer states its more of an annoyance than a problem none the less we would like to get this fixed. Possible Cabinet??

Just an FYI when you call Extension to Extension you get feedback no matter how far phones are away from each other. First time I have ever heard it do that. Think its a Gain or TX setting just dont know which one to change. Ive changed a bunch with no luck.

Could be cabinet... have you tried isolating it down to certain DLI cards or between cabinets? If it happens on both cabinets within each cabinet or only on one cabinet? You're in a good position having 2 cabinets because you can troubleshoot easier. If it's only the main cabinet swap the expansion cabinet in its place and see if the problem goes away. Start pulling cards out one at a time to see if it's a bad card causing problems on the entire system.
First thing i would try is a different outlet on a different circuit, I've had systems on the same sub panel as large compressors have terrible audio problems.

So I brought a defaulted 7200 down here with two 28 button Falcon Phones. The Audio problem is not there. When you call 14B to 28B the problem is not there. But when you call 14B to 14B the Audio is so rich you can hear feedback static as you talk with the other user on Speakerphone. Its a really weird issue and I feel like running my head into a wall.

Well Guys I have just found that it is a New DS-5014 and DS-5021 Issue some of the newest phones from Indonesia!! Be on the Lookout
