I am working on a IPO SCN deployment that has 9 sites. All sites are using a single VMPRO server located in the company's data center. One of the sites already had an IPO using a C110 VM module before we connected them to the SCN network and cut them over to the new VMPRO server. We switched them to the new server, as I was told that the C110 module did not work well on SCN deployments that were larger than 6 sites. Now, this module is basically lying around and not being used, so I was wondering if it was possible to use this C100 module as a backup VMPRO server in the event that the main server went down? Anyone do this before?

Your Voicemail pro in the data center, is that Linux based or Windows Based?
Personally i would never use a CUM to be a backup for 9 sites....

Then you can NOT use the UCM. the backup must be the same OS as the primary VM Pro.

I was concerned about them being on different platforms. At this point, the UCM will remain on the shelf. May find a home for it elsewhere.
Thanks for the response and input.
