Greetings folks, I wanted to throw an odd issue out there regarding accessing the SBX via PC Admin (Local and remote) Background: Brand new SBX System Behind a Netgear WNDR3700v4 router SBX I.P. Address reserved: In this case 192.168.1.199 (No duplicate I.P. addresses on the network) Computer running Windows 8.1 on the same subnet – Connects and allows me to make upload and make changes. When I disconnect and want to reconnect, the phone system does not allow me to connect again unless I reboot the phone system (power on/off). Once I cycle power I can have no problem establishing a connection again.
I came across the problem when I first tried to remote access the system by following the port forwarding rules. (Ports 5103, 23, 5002, 9777) – It is on my bench preparing to go to a customer site.
So my question is has anyone else seen this problem before? Not sure if it is the SBX system, Operating system of the computer, or the router. The router is new and my concern is that maybe it does not auto negotiate speed and duplex properly. Appears SBX is set at 10 Mbps / Half Duplex. Want to fix on LAN first and then trouble shoot remote access. Anybody got the same router?
Any ideas? Thanks Jon

Yes, I have and it happens sometimes even when I connect directly to the ethernet port. I have found that resetting the system works not having to power down. I also found out that if I connect to the serial port, access programming, disconnect and then connect to the ethernet port it lets me in, every time.
I have also found that if I connect thru the site info field first and it doesn't let me in, then go to file/connect I can get in, but not every time. I doubt your router is causing any problem since both devices are inside addresses. I think the SBX just does not have a very good keep alive function. Its not the first system that this kind of thing happens. The XTS mpb2 ethernet port will lock out if not accessed for a day or two, and can't be accessed again until the mpb is reset.
There is the thought that if you X out of the admin program as opposed to clicking disconnect the ethernet port still thinks it is active so the next time you try to connect it will not let you in. A reset or power down frees the port up.
