Hi,
We have two inter-tel axxess phone systems at two locations connected by a private t1 line. We have voice mail on one of the systems but both locations can use it. The company is down sizing and has employees moving from one location to the other, both are in the same city. The t1s all come into the main location with one block working at the main location and another block working at the other location, with all data and phone communications going through the provate t1. Can we move some of extensions from the main location to the secondary location (node to node) without moving the entire block?

Yes you can, but you'll most likly need a technician to handle the programming. This assumes the system receiving the "new' users is currently equipped to handle the additional stations - enough ports and/or licenses to handle the users moving to this system.

The phone systems are licensed and have extensions 6600-6649 at the main location and extensions 6650-6699 at the secondary location. We would like extensions 6605, 6606, 6607 and 6608 to ring at the secondary location. Only about 20 of the 50 extensions at the secondary location are being used. I am the IT guy for the company and I am comfortable using the System Manger (v8.2) and programming using the receptionists phone. I have swaped and created extensions and setup new users but only on one node not node to node. Any help with the first few steps in moving extensions from node to node would be appreciated. Thanks

Unfortunately there is no easy way to move extensions between nodes. You will need to delete the extension from the first node and create it back in the second. You will not have to delete the vm box because it will re-associate. The problem is trying to identify everywhere that the extension existed so that you can recreate that. i.e. Hunt Groups, Ring Group, Call Routing, etc.
