I have an Axxess 9.115. I was wondering if there is away for the phone system to send out an alert, via email or phone message when one our our T1's go down, this would be for when no one from IT is in the building like on nights or weekends. I know that this will not be possible in every situation (If all T1's go down) but any notification would be nice. We have 2 long distance T1's, 2 Local T1's and 3 data T1's. Thanks

Inter-Tel offers a CTI product called Service Manager. It is an app that runs on a PC/Server that monitors the MSG print output from the system. It is then configured to trigger a page and/or email action upon configured MSG Print alarms. You will need to purchase this from an authorized Inter-Tel dealer or direct branch. You will need a com port on the PC and an open RS232 on the system (CPU or OPC).

WhatsUp will do the same thing. And you can use it for all of your servers.

Monitoring a T1 if its Up or down from within the site isn't the best route to go....

Because we provide this service and consultation , I can't really give you any suggestion other than to talk to your IT guys and tell them to do something or give us a call.... . LOL smile

I can however tell you that some ISP provide this service for free if you make them.
