Had a Bogen 250 amp go bad and replaced with same. Location has two total amps, one for office and one for plant. After replacing amp there is random "ding dong" broadcasting thru both the plant and office speakers.. Person onsite did the install. Said they moved all cables back as they were on bad amp. Paging works.. just getting this random ding dong sound since the replacement. any idea's?

If its a TPU250 then it has a built in ringer circuit. Make sure nothing is connected to contact ringer and that ringer volume is off.

new info - had some pics sent to me.. There are two Viking MTG-10 tone generators connected to the AMP's. It is a TPU250.. and will check those settings but the sound is going out both the plant and office amp. I know nothing changed on the office amp.

Look at the time of the chimes possibly a time clock connected to the Viking units. Find out the whats and whens of the Viking units ....what are they used for how they are controlled. Sounds like it would be needed to go to site and check/rewire the AMP, can be the person on the far end is mistaken.

I don't know what you want us to tell you. All the information we get is third hand. The first thing I learned is that if I can't confirm anything myself I'm wasting both mine and the customer's time. The second thing I learned is that if I don't know what I'm doing I have no business doing it. Get somebody there that knows what they are doing and not asking you so you have to ask us. -Hal
