I have an AXXESS system
2 Digital Keyset 16 cards
1 Single line card
1 T1 Primary rate interface card
1 Internet Protocol Resource card
1 Embedded VM Card
1 Central Processor /CPC Single
Running DB studio 10.002

My switch just stops responding. Sometimes you can't get a line out or a line in, sometimes you can get a line out but no line in, and sometimes it all works. I can power down the switch and it all works for a while when it comes back up, but then it goes down again. Sometimes it stays up all day, sometimes it starts getting funky again immediately. I had a tech look at it yesterday, and he swapped the slots the DK cards were in. He also said this could be caused by a bad endpoint (inter-tel 550.8520) that is assigned as the Operator/switchboard. When it's down for inbound calls, you can hear a sidetone. My provider has tested the T1 itself and it is not showing errors.

Thoughts? Ideas? Could this behavior really be caused by an endpoint?

You can get weird symptoms from an endpoint that is wanky, but the message print logs usually will show somethig to point you in the right direction.

As far as your symptoms go, when you can't dial out/in, can you dial other extensions and/or voicemail? Do the LCD screens on the fones read the normal idle information i.e. Username, Extension Number, Date, Time?
