Hello Everyone,
I am new to the Toshiba Phone systems, and have been successful connecting to them over the network if they have been setup properly, but I have many systems all over the country that are not configured properly for the LAN.
My issues is I am not sure how to setup the Dial-up connection in Network eManager.
Currently I am able to get Network Emanager to dial the location, but I am not sure how to get the system to pickup the call.
I have tried using the Phone number, the number a comma and #19.
I have also answered the call then transferred it to #19, which does get me a bit further, I tries to verify username and password and fails.
Any help or steps to get this working would help me a lot! Thank You! -Cory

I'm guessing that you're speaking about calling into a voicemail. Just set mailbox 919 (or whatever you pick) to go to #19H, and lock the DND off.
I'm assuming that you have a Modem connected on the processor if it's a CIX100. The CIX40's have a built-in modem.

As far as getting the system to connect to the modem, you have to think about what answers when you call the number. If a person answers, then you can have them manually do a blind transfer to #19. If the voicemail system answers, it does not know what #19 means. You have to setup a mailbox with #19 in the extension field. If you have an extra DID number, you can setup that DID to connect directly to the modem, and then you won't need to add #19 to the number.

I got the mailbox figured out and also tried doing the manual transfer. But can't seem to get anything to work. The modems talk to each other but never actually establish the connection.
What exact settings do I need in the dial up connection? I though I had them as described in the Manual but it does not seem to negotiate the connection.

One step further and the one I cannot seem to get past. When it goes to verify username and password it always fails. Is there a certain username of password I need for the dial-up portion?
Thank You! -Cory

I am pretty sure that the user name and password fields are blank when you create the dialup connection. You do need to set the IP address.
The dialup connections can be a bit finicky at times. There are a lot of systems that I can not longer connect to. Sometimes after the company gets new telephone service the modems will always fail to connect. Usually they always fail before getting to the part were they are verifying username, so it sounds like the modems are connected in your case.
If you the ability, try cycling power on the PBX.

BTW, I can never get in using an analog line off Time Warner, it just does not work like a regular analog line.
