Greetings guys,
I recently got certified on the Summit.
I have a new one on my bench earmarked for an install in a week (first one!)
(I have a few questions which I will post separately for the benefit of others that may have similar want to follow along by topic)

The system is a KSUID w/ VS-5035 PRI Card for use with DID
Customer’s DID Range is (last 3-digits)  660-687

I am building the stations to align with the DID’s for ease of use/admin (Stations 660-687)
I went into flexible station numbering (PGM-105)
Built 660-679.
When I get to 680 it will not take the station. I figured there was a conflict which in turn after reviewing page 515 Administration and Programming

(680-687) Conflicts with 
680- Remote mobile extension control
681- ACD Agent Primary Login
682- ACD Agent Primary Logout
683 - ACD Agent Secondary Login
684 - ACD Agent Secondary Login
685- ACD – Wrap-up end
686- TNET CM Login/out

So the question is where can I change these feature setting numbers? Change 680 Remote mobile extension to maybe 101?
Also is there a cheat sheet of any spare digits/codes that are available via the dial plan in case I wanted to use those in place of 6xx?

thanks
Jon

I don't think your conflict is with the codes you mentioned. Those are only active if you change the numbering plan to 5.

I think you're problem is that "ENTER INTO CONF-GROUP" code is 68, which limits your ability to use any 68x extensions. Go to the Flexible Numbering Plan and change ENTER INTO CONF-GROUP from 68 to *68. You should then be able to renumber the extensions as you wish.

However, I would recommend that you keep the extension numbers as default and then use the Flexible DID Table to route your DID's accordingly. That may just be a personable preference, but I think it keeps things more flexible.

I would only go as far as to match the last two digits...ie change extension 100 to 160 and so on. I would not use first digit 6, it causes more trouble than it is worth in my opinion.

ncf,

You nailed it. I made the change and was able to add the 68x extension. (Thank you!)

After your recommendation and Derricks I decided that it probably does make more sense to keep the extensions in the default range 100-239. (A&P Manual Page 512)

So as a follow on I figured I would try Derricks recommendation and make 660 --> 160. Before I did that however I put all stations back to 100-12x. (That went fine)
Then I was going to start my stations with 160 - 16x. Now I am getting an error at the "station box" when I try that. For giggles I put 660 back at 100 and it took it.
No idea why I can't start at 160.

Thoughts?

Any ideas for this one?

Forgot to mention that I also reloaded the system to default settings
(Dip switch 2 to on)- restart and then off and restart again.

I know it worked as password and other settings went to default and wizard started again.

Figured no better time to learn than the present to learn.

Still does not allow me to start with extension 160

No idea what I am conflicting with as the book says the range is 100-239 for 3-digit

So upon station renumbering I would need to start my range 1-239 and then I could renumber accordingly. (remove 160 -16X and reassign to the appropriate ports)

I figured (wrong obviously) that the stations went by the station range which in my case was 1-28

Thanks again.. I will try it tonight

Don't know, I try not to renumber unless forced into it.

You can only load 49 stations at a time, as I found out, which means you will have to do this in two stages...delete or change the higher numbers ( like changing 160 to 260) to first digit two, then you can go back to the lower numbers and change them ie 100 to 160.

Derrick,

This was certainly a lessons learned... That was too painful, so I took yours and NFC's advise and went with the default stations 100-1xx.

Thought I was going to make it easier to map the extension to the last 3-digits of the DID.

Now I need to learn how to map the DID to the station number.
