Hey Guys,
Stumbled across another challenge on my first Summit – good things it’s still on the bench! Not sure if I am missing something in the manuals or what… (Administration & Programming, Features & Operation, Installation)
Dig into Admin & Program (Page 244) – Simple check box (PGM 118) I would think
Customer wants to leverage internal as well as externally paging. Typically not an issue. I thought by default all stations were at least setup for internal zone one and could initiate and receive a page in zone one.
Went to test from a few phones and received the wave off/error tone
Went to verify in Flexible Number Plan (PGM 106-109) that the access code was in fact 301-335 which it is. Then I went into Internal Page Zone (PGM 118) Checked off zone 1 hit save tried it and nothing. Unchecked it hit saved and tried it. Checked all zones and tried it.
Still Nothing What am I missing?
Will there be something else to bite me on external as well as I am also installing a Valcom paging system
Thanks again!

You have to range the stations into an internal page group pgm 118. page zone codes are 301-335 543 is internal page all call... you cannot page onhook, handset has to be lifted.

Hi Derrick,
I did all of that... Even verified that my page codes were fine
When I go to PGM-118 I put in a range of stations (100-128) Check all zones (1-35) hit save
Lift handset try any of those zones by dialing 301-335 and get the wave off. This is just crazy.
Still nothing Is there some other step?
Appreciate all the guidance you and NCF provide....

Well, I didn't dial a code, I created a page button. You might try that.

That is the last option...not easy to find in the Summit documentation and it won't show in admin search either.

NFC, You nailed it again!
Did not see that anywhere in the manual. You would think that PGM-118 settings would be enough. Not sure why the default for paging would be off.
Anyway... thank again
