You use the PC admin software to connect. Under tools you create a new site and choose modem as the connection method. Fill in the information required. The modem had to be programmed at the remote site for it to function, it is a bit more complicated than plug and play. The system usually defaults ext 131 to be the modem extension. If no did number or trunk rings to it, calls will need to be transferred to the modem. The SBX modem does not dial out.

If the SBX has a voice mail card it is fairly simple. Dial into the system using the admin connect by modem, when the aa answers just dial 147 with a phone on your modem line & it will connect. I usually do my dial ins at night so the AA will answer. Never had a problem.
