I have an install coming up where they presently use a KSU that "does not" detect "battery" on CO (trunk) ports. They use it for a gate controller (trunk also presently allows DTMF sent as well as doesn't detect CO battery)
I thought I'd done this before on the systems listed above. (but can't find any notes in our database)
My question: Does anyone know how to use a trunk port for this purpose? (required programming)
I'd need the trunk port not to busy out when off-hook with no battery...and...when off-hook send DTMF tones at that time.
I'm still looking but thought one of you might have already run in to this.

The only trunk I can think of that could possibly do what you want, is a paging trunk. but I am an 8300 person so I can't direct you on how to do it.

Thank you for your reply...
I'm just trying to find out if I can get a 1FB (loop start) type trunk card to stop looking for "battery" - The gate controller does send "ring battery" but doesn't keep enough voltage present during speech to keep the system from disconnecting. I may have to go with some type interface module. I just thought someone here may know how to "un-supervise" the CO trunk ports on a 9100
