Have a MICS that call forwards to a night service provider lately , on an intermitten bases it wont call forward , I have tried to put in a local c/f number and the same issue , internally have not had the prob , we reboot the system and it works fine for a week or two . would this problem be in the KSU or the s/w card . I have had the T 1 tested also (PRI)

I would try another PRI line cartridge, it could be faulty.
When you say it 'wont call forward', what happens? Does it give busy, or just stops ringing or something else?

When system has been call forwarded and you call in from say cell phone ,nothing happens ,no ring back tone , if you call the main number from an inside set it rings busy

What do you mean "system forwarded"?
Forward a set/DN to an external number (F4) Redirect a Line or DID (F84) or other?
How many channels on the T1 are active? How many users on site?

Check alarms to see if any.
These are indeed tough ones.
But the norm would indeed be in this order DTI Combo/Services Upgrade to 7.1 - Can sometimes clear bugs in the process NVRAM Startup Software (if already at 7.1) KSU
Since no issues in day with inbound outbound this seems to be an issue with forwarding.
Maybe try a new set on a new port at reception Try and test with a bunch of conference calls when it happens again.

Yes programming resides on the MICS but always a good idea to carry a fastrad on the truck and back it up.
You would need to log into the NAM then press 9 for its software level to decide on upgrade but 4.1 NAM is required to upgrade to anything higher than 4.1 KSU.
