Have some older 7100's with noisy fans. Found some like sized models changed plug ends and replaced. New fan works, but run light remains red. Any thouhgts? ty, Gary

The system doesn't recognize the fan you installed. If you check your alarm report you probably have an MJA08 alarm for Fan Out of Order. That would also be why your run light is red. I wouldn't run it like that because with an MJA08 comes Watch Dog Resets.
