I had a dispatch power supply go bad on a customer Traid S phone system. I replaced with a used Dispatch 4 port, customer calls me and says they can not get in to voicemail. I have a button programmed 440 for mailbox, customer calls me back and says reset voicemail and they can get into voicemail. So I replace with new refurb. Digital dispatch 4 port customer calls today and say they are having the same problem. The only thing that has change is I'm using a 4 port( replacement) from 2 port( old one) and using ports 1 & 2, would not using ports 3 & 4 cause my problem? Any help would be nice, Thank You.

Yes it could and will cause a problem. Port 1 is clock and sync...system will not boot properly without being connected. Port 4 turns lights on and off...not connected and the vm could lock up. You really should have all four operating. Why not just swap power supplies instead of the complete voice mail?

Thank you for your answer, all ports are used on phone system, and 4 port voice mail was all I could find at time. Will try ports 1 and ports 4 on voice mail and see what happens.

Use port 1 and the last port (4 in your case). None of the rest of the ports make any difference.
