I'm trying to save our company a few bucks and setup central voicemail between our OS7200 (which doesnt have SVMI card) and our OS7100 with its inbuilt SVMI.

Firmware version 4.30f (so we dont need a SPNET license).

Spnet is working and handsets can call both ways. Also voicemail appears to work correctly on OS7200 handsets via VMMMSG button.

All forward to voicemail works and I get the mailbox for the phone in question.

My problem occurs when forwarding to voicemail when unanswered calls happen or busy. It basically forwards to voicemail but asks for a password instead of going to the phones mailbox.

Any tips to fix this? I've tried reading everything I can and searching but just cant get this last bit working frown

Thanks!

Remove the append # from the LCR table for the SPNET programming.

The system is sending the # with the call and the svmi is picking this up and assuming you want to remotely listen to the messages in that mailbox.

Not sure why it's only happening on busy though, it should happen on all call types

Thanks for the quick reply! smile

I've tried that (I'm assuming you mean turn off STN display) but it hasnt made any difference.

FWD All works but FWD when no answer doesnt. This isnt perhaps a bug in the 4.30k software?

I've seen others are talking about voicemail logging to see exactly what is happening. How do I go about enabling and checking that? Just a few pointers without the acronyms and I should be ok to work out the rest? smile

Edit: Nevermind. Found it as port activity. Seeing if there is anything relevant now...

Stn Display is not the setting.

Look at the SMDR output, and you will see your 7200 is sending a # after the group number.

<site id><vm group number>#

you need to stop sending the #.

It will be in the LCR tables.

You're right there is no # being sent.

Something is being sent that the VM thinks is a # hence why it asks for the password.

Can you send me the DB's of the systems and i'll have a look

Sure.

I'll send it for the OS 7200 -> OS7100 VMi config.

How do you want me to send them to you?
