I have 2 sites that connects back to a pc running Blues. Recently both sites are disconnecting every minute. I have disabled Blues and just connected to HyperTerminal. Again after a minute it disconnects. I have been to site and connected directly to the system and the connection does not drop out. So I guess it must be the PC but it has been working for a year or so.
Is it possible to change the port the SMDR is sent
Systems are 7200 v4.30k and 7100 v4.14

If this is being accessed from the outside it sounds like the firewall is closing the port on you, especially if it's that well timed. Did they change anything with firewall/network equipment?

The 7200 is local to the reporting software, the 7100 is connected via their vpn.
I have been back to site today and have changed the IP address of the 7100. It looks like the SMDR is now stable, but for how long is unknown.

You can't change the SMDR port on the system it's hard coded.
However if you use OS link you can change the SMDR port that OS link outputs the SMDR data to.
It can also output the data from upto 8 systems as one stream.
