Hi,
I am trying to get a few questions answered about a system I now have to maintain.

Some basic information: My company has two of these systems, One in New York and one in Connecticut. They are networked together through a dedicated VPN. We are able to page between the two offices and the voicemail system is on the second machine in New York(I am in Connecticut).

My first issue is that I wanted to like to the unit over the network, so I plugged a patch cable into the network port of the ccpu to my network switch. I then went into 10-12-01 and gave it an IP address. As soon as I exited out, the system saved the changes and the system rebooted on its own. When it came back up, we had lost communications with the NY office. I tried putting an address back in that is on the VPN subnet, but it keeps telling me "duplicate data". I am a little lost at this point as I thought this address was seperate from the VOIP information.

Next issue - I don't have the Installer level password. I want to hook up a door box, and I believe I need to access programing that is not is SA. Is there a way to reset the IN password?

Lastly, I have a 2PGDAD in the system at this point that allows us to page over the PA on channel one. Can I use channel 2 on the 2PGDAD for the door box or do I have to pickup another 2PGDAD?

I look forward to any information that is offered

Thanks,
-Sean

When the UX5000 has an installed VoIP card - you will use that for both network access (WebPro and PCPro) and the VoIP communication. The ethernet port is no longer used. I generally set the IP address for that to 0.0.0.0 just to be on the safe side.

So, to access the programming through a web browser using WebPro, just enter the IP address of the VoIp connection.

Yes, you can use the second channel on your 2PGDAD for your doorbox.

I do not know how to reset the installer level password. Perhaps someone else on the board can help you with that.

Thanks for the info Toolie! I thought that was set to 0.0.0.0 when I first changed it. That explains why it was. Does it use the default gateway set in 10-12-03?
Currently I can't use Web Pro or PCPro. They don't seem to work with SA programing level, unless I am missing something. I have been programing through a keyset. That is the other reason I am hoping to get IN level unlocked smile

If you enter the IP address of the VoIP interface in IE - it should at least bring up the login screen.

Try using the default user name and password - lots of people leave the set to that.......

FYI - other browsers don't work well with WebPro.....

I do get the login screen, but the password is not the default. I even tried it from a keyset.

Call the installing company and get the password. Probably the easiest most painless way to go about it.

Ok, so I have an update. I went to work today and reset the IP address to 0.0.0.0. I also changed the gateway to the VPN router on that subnet. I rebooted the system but I still don't have a connection to the other side.
On the lighter side, I was able to plug my laptop into that subnet and I could access the unit through the VOIP port with both Web Pro and PCPro through SA level. Thanks for the heads up on using IE for WebPro.
So now at least she is in the right place. Now I just have to figure out why they aren't talking.

I would look at your ARP tables in your switches and routers and reset them. You may have screwed something up with a conflict like that.

Coral Tech - These systems don't do a gratuitous ARP on startup?
