We had a new receptionist start recently, and on her first day something really strange happened.
I heard a siren-like tone come from her desk down the hall. When I walked in to ask her what happened, she said she heard the tone and then received a call. As soon as she answered, the party on the other end said "911 what's your emergency."
This has never happened as far as I know. Is there some kind of functionality on a CIX system that would lead to this? I checked the documentation but couldn't find anything related to what we experienced. Note that I'm not ruling out some kind of gross misunderstanding (e.g., it was her cell phone or someone's pulling a prank on me).
Any thoughts? We have a CIX670 ver CIX670 AR2.21 MH116.00
