Trying to install a headset in a Compact 50si. In MMC 722 I want to program an "ans/rel" button? I can program a "hset" key and the light lights on the programmed key that says "headset mode". when trying to program an "ans/rel" key the display says "not permit"? What does "Not Permit" mean? How can I make the headset work??

What type of handsets do you have?
Both the DCS and iDCS handsets have an ans/rls key as a fixed key on them, so that's probably why you can't program it.
Once headset mode is activated and you have the headset connected to the handset all you need todo is use the ans/rls or speaker key to answer/hang up calls.
