I have a customer who was on ISDN and they forwarded their call to an answer services using SCF.
Now we have switched the customer to a sip trunk we are unable to implement an inbound call on the SIP trunk and the SCF out ont eh same trunk just get busy.

Unable to do any wireshark tracing without visit to site.

The system is a cix 40 using GIPU card i believe it is possible a REFER issue not support on the CIX?

I have managed to get this half working with another sip trunk supplier by ddi dialing digits to external number using same trunk but will not work using CF or SCF.

Interested if any other user have had the same issue and resolved.

Usually this is an issue similar to some PRIs that don't like a foreign outgoing caller ID on the network. Depending on the carrier, sometimes they can make a change in their router to allow all outgoing caller IDs on their SIP trunks.

As you mentioned I am pretty sure that REFER (along with Diversion or P-Assert Identity) are not supported on a CIX system. If the carrier can't accommodate other caller IDs, then you may only be able to send out your main number as caller ID.

You can usually fix this by going to Calling Number, entering the default caller ID, and enabling 03 Number Verification. This will force the system to show only the default number on forwarded calls.

Thankyou newtecky
this seems to sort of work i can forward based upon dialing digits in the day day2 and night ddi table. I can also do a CF at on the PDN but SCF seems to just ring

My customer sometimes does not even go to the office so the cf is setup on a timer 12 seconds using a scf to their answer bureau and when they leave the office they rarely remember to set to day 2.

Maybe the work around would be PHDN with a cf setup
